Brightening up lives

October 22nd, 2007

Martha and John Steele of Gulladuff are hoping to put people in the Christmas spirit again this year.
They intend to light up their home and garden and to brighten up the entire neighborhood with thousands of Christmas Lights for children and adults alike to come and admire.
The charity selected this year is Inishowen Special Needs, which is a very worthy cause. The charity is deserving of everyone’s help and it is vital to help many families with such needs in Inishowen. At present the Committee is raising funds for a very worthwhile cause in Moville. It is planned to open a houses known as Prospect Villa to provided sheltered accommodation for 21 people and as a Resource Centre. This new project will be a great boost to the town of Moville and Inishowen in general. We are hopeful that many people will come and view the lights and help to provide vital funding for The Special Needs Committee.
If groups or organisations would like would like to visit the lights and have cup of tea in the Log Cabin all in the name of charity, they can contact us in good time and it can be arranged.
A huge amount of work goes into setting up of the lights, and after so much work and effort it would encourage us greatly if the public would support this event and we can give this very worthy causes a good cheque in January to help with their centre. We look forward to seeing plenty of happy faces at the light show this Christmas
