Car Wash
The Car Wash in aid of the Neo Natal Units of the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin, Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, and Letterkenny General Hospital will be held on Saturday next, 1st July at Supervalu, Carndonagh. All cars will be washed for €5 from 10a.m – 6p.m.
Swimming Lessons
Don’t forget to plan for the Swimming Lessons this Summer at Portmore Pier, Malin Head. Swim 1 – Swim 5 on 9th – 13th July. Safety, Survival and Rescue on 16th – 21st July. Enrolment for all swimmers, including adults, will be on Monday 9th July at 9.30a.m. Irish Water Safety now charge €20 per child.
Agricultural Show
Inishowen Agricultural Society will hold its 95th Annual Show at the Showgrounds, Tulnaree, Carndonagh on Saturday 21st July commencing at 10a.m. sharp. A fun day out for all the family.
Inishowen Carnival

Fundraising Draw
Scoil Treasa Naofa, Malin, Parents Committee are holding a Grand Fundraising Draw. 1st Prize €3,000; 2nd Prize €1,000; and 4 prizes of €250. Draw will take place on 1st July at the Fun Day.
Charity Dance
A Charity Dance in aid of the Inishowen Cancer Support Group will be held in the Malin Hotel on Friday 3rd August. Music is by Inishowen’s Smokey and the Bandits. Dancing is from 11p.m. – 2a.m. Admission is €5. Special guests Alastair Coyles and John Mc Geoghegan. Tickets now on sale or pay at the door. Door prizes and raffle on the night.
Glen Rovers
The Underage team training sessions will continue weekly, U-14 on Wednesday evening at Glengad, U-16 & U-18 On Monday evenings at Malin Head U-12s moved to Thursday evening Glengad. Training begins at 7.30pm each day, Bus to Glengad leaves Malin Town at 6.45pm, Malin Head 7pm and Glen 7.10pm,bus to Malin Head leaves Malin Town 6.45pm,Glengad 7pm and Glen at 7.10pm.The cost of the training is €2 and will be payable on the night of training. The U-10s training will continue this Thursday at 6.30pm and will be held at Malin Head Community Sports Field this group will be entering into the Inishowen leagues Summer Soccer Blitz in August. The Bus will pick up players at Malin Town 6.00pm. Glengad 6.15pm, Glen at 6.25pm.
Fundraising draw
Malin Head Community and Sports Field committee are running a Private Members Draw to raise funds for a new Club House, with a weekly jackpot of €500. The weekly winner of the Jackpot for week ending 24th June 2007 was ticket number 106, held by Colm Kelly, (Junior), Drim, Malin Head. Congratulations Colm! The committee wish to extend their thanks to the community for their continued support. Next week’s draw will be held in the Crossroads Inn, Malin Head on Sunday the 1st July at 9p.m.
Whist
Whist continues in Malin Head Community Hall every Monday night, commencing at 8p.m.
Malin Raft Race
The annual Malin Raft Race will be held at Malin Bridge on 29th July at 5.30p.m., together with Fun and Frolics, ducks and music on the Village Green. Also major attraction Try a Dip by True North Diving Club. Treasure Hunt on 5th August, from 4p.m. – 7p.m., followed by a Disco in the Malin Hotel by Highland Radio’s top DJ Martin Friel. The committee would like to stress the need for more volunteers.
