The Carndonagh Feis

Syllabus will be available at the end of March. Its cost is three euro. It will be available in Carndonagh in Doherty’s Newsagents in the diamond, its available in Buncrana in Mac’s Book Shop. In Clonmany its available in Centra. It’s available in Moville in McFeely’s and it’s available in Derry in Hendersons’ Book Shop.

 

Parish News

Week-day mass times

There will be Mass on Monday to Thursday at 10am. Mass on Friday will take place at 8pm and Thursday 10am and on First Friday at 8pm. Confessions will take place on Friday from 7pm – 7.45pm and Saturday 6pm to 6.45pm.

 

Visitation of Sick

The priest will attend the sick this week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at usual times.  If you know someone in your area please let them know the priest will call at usual time.

 

Anniversary Mass

On Sunday, April 20 at 9am for Willie Doherty (S) Churchtown.

Sponsored Walk in Aid of Alan Doherty Fund

On Sunday, May 18 at 3pm leaving St Marys Hall Clonmany via Binnion, Tullagh, Rusty Nail and back to the hall for refreshments, music and raffle in James Tams at 10.30am. Shake, Rattle and Write

Foyle & Donegal Hospices Buncrana

Support Group presents a floral arts exhibition in Lake of Shadows, Buncrana on Thursday, April 24 at 8pm, admission 5 euro, includes supper. Approx 100 displays.  All to be raffled on night. Everyone welcome.

The Irish Kidney Association is holding their church-gate collection on the weekend of 19th, 20th  April. Please Give Generously

 

GAA

The winning numbers in the club mini-lotto were 20, 8, 9, 4 and 18. There was no jackpot winner. The 75 euro went to Patricia Deery, 21 Convent Road, Carn. 30 euro to Denise Smith, Carn Rd. Gleneely. 15 euro to Joe Sweeney, Glenmakee, Carndonagh. B. McLaughlin, 22 Convent Rd. Carndonagh and Paul McGrath, Glenmakee, Carndonagh. The jackpot next week is 1300 euro and the draw will be held in Kelly’s Bar. The club wishes to thank all who support our lotto. The seniors recorded a good away win against Naomh Colmcille on Saturday evening, with conditions difficult overhead and underfoot. In underage Inishowen competition the U/16s were defeated by Malin while our U12s recorded a victory against Malin

 

Carn FC

Training  times for the youth squads are as follows ; Wednesday U / 8 from 5-6, U / 10 from 6-7, U /12 from 7-8. On Monday girls U / 14 from 5-6 and U / 14 boys from 6-30- 8pm. U / 16’s train on Friday from 5-30 – 7pm. The U / 10 and U / 11 squads have been training hard for their upcoming home and away matches against the Rosario club from Belfast. The first round of games will take place in St Patrick’s Park on Sunday 20th April with a 1pm kick-off and the away games at a later date. The Club’s presentation night has been pencilled in for Friday May 20th. Please keep this date free, there will be more details later.
