Donegal Action for Cancer North Inishowen Branch.

The Monthly Meeting will take place in the Wesley Hall, Bridge Street Place, Carndonagh on Tuesday April 1 at 7.30pm. A well attended meeting of the North Inishowen Branch of Donegal Action for Cancer took place on February 26. Sympathy to members Margaret and Christine Farren on the death of Joe Deery. Rita KellyTrasuerer acknowledged a donation of 1,270 euro to DACC from the Devlin family, Kedycara, Culdaff, who ran a darts tournament in memory of Maureen Devlin. Liam Doherty (White) is organising a Gold Classic in Ballyliffen Golf Club on March 31 in aid of DACC and other Cancer Charities. We encourage members of the public to join our branch and get behind our efforts to secure better cancer services for the people.

The numbers drawn in the Gleneely FC Lotto last week were 17, 22, 23 and 24. Gleneely Colts

The Gleneely Colts Grand Draw will take place on Friday April 18. All tickets and money must be returned by April 12 at our monthly meeting. Thank you. Our horses are now on sale priced at 15 euro. Our Annual Night at the Races on Sunday, May 4. Your support would be must appreciated. The monthly meeting will take place in the Club House on April 12 at 7pm. All are welcome.

 

Retirement

Martha Hutchinson, Hillhead, Gleneely who has been Daffodil Day organiser for the past 21 years is now retiring, Martha would like to say to all her dedicated volunteers who helped her every year, hail rain or snow a big thank you. To all who bought, gave donations, the shopkeepers who sold in their shops and to those who allowed our sellers to sell outside their premises, thank you. Many thanks to those who gave us their fresh daffodils and to all who pulled and bunched them. Unfortunately we hadn’t as many
fresh ones this year as Daffodil Day was much earlier. Once again many thanks to all who were involved over the past 21 years. This year we raised 9725 euro and increase off 200 on last year.

Inishowen Woman’s Outreach Annual General Meeting of Inishowen Women’s Outreach to be held at their offices in Millbrae, Carndonagh at 7pm.

 

Yoga Classes

Reunion

Scoil Mhuire, Gleneely will hold their Reunion Dinner Dance on Friday August 1 in the Malin Hotel, Music by The Country Boys. Dinner served at 8.30pm. Tickets are on sale in local shops and are priced at 25 euro each or any of the committee; ,Mary McDaid, Kathleen McCallion, 12 Foxwood Avenue, Gleneely, Joe Kearney, Hubert McLaughlin, Niall McDaid. If anyone has old photos before 1990 the committee would be most grateful to have the lend of them and they will be returned after the dance. Thank you.
