Sympathy

 

Sympathy is offered to the family and friends of Paddy Quinn, Dumberry, Bridgend who passed away recently. Sympathy is also offered to the Sisters of Nazareth, Fahan and to the family of friends of Sister Josephine who also passed away recently. Sympathy is also extended to Master Shaun Hannaway, principal of St Aengus National School, Bridgend on the death of his brother Hugo in Ballymena and to the family and friends of Dr James Wray, Raphoe, Locum in the Burt area.

Charity shop

A charity shop takes place Wednesday, March 19 in Impulse Shop, next door to Crossans. Proceeds for Gerald Harrigan who is taking part in Niall Mellon Challenge to build houses in South Africa. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

 

Coffee morning

A coffee morning, Easter cake and craft sale takes place on Saturday, March 22 from 10.30am to noon in Fahan Presbyterian Church Hall in aid of Diane and Graham Ferguson’s trip to Uganda in July to build a school.

 

 

Community activities

All Inch Island Community Association activities are open to anyone. The group especially encourages participation from residents in Burt, Burnfoot, Fahan, Tooban and Inch.

Wednesday, March 26, bus leaving at 9am, 10 euro per adult and eight euro per child (this covers the bus trip and two activities such as ice skating, bowling or playground), families are to cater for their own lunch,s paces are limited so book soon 93 60822; healthy cooking on a budget, starts Tuesday, April 1 for six weeks, 7–8.30pm (they  are very lucky to have the services of a dietician, Marie, from the health board to run a six-week course designed around teaching us to cook healthy food on a tight budget); kids’ movie night, Friday, April 4, in Inch Hall 6–8pm; carers’ pamper day, Tuesday, April 8 (do you know anyone that is a full-time carer of a relative/neighbour that could do with a bit of pampering.
