School re-opens
Urblereagh N.S. reopens on Wednesday 29th August. St. Mary’s N.S. Malin Head and Scoil Cholmcille, Glengad will re-open on this Thursday 30th August.

Golden Jubilee
Sr. Teresa Mc Gilloway has just celebrated fifty years as a nun. As Brigid Mc Gilloway, from Lougherbraghey, Malin Head, she joined the Sisters of Mercy in Newry, Co.Down in 1954, making her Final Profession in 1957. She spent nine years teaching in Mobile in Alabama, U.S.A., before returning to Ireland to teach in the local Mercy schools in Newry. After her retirement from teaching she spent nine years in Minna, Nigeria. There she was instrumental in building a much needed school where she served as principal. Two years ago she returned to Newry where she now does chaplaincy work, visiting the sick and elderly.
A special Mass was held for Sr. Teresa in the Convent of Mercy in Newry, where her brothers and sisters were present. A Celebratory Mass was also held for this much loved sister and aunt in St. Mary’s Church, Lagg, which was attended by her numerous family members!
First Aid Course
Maria Stevens hopes to run a Homoeopathic First Aid Course during the Winter months. This First Aid course is one where in First Aid situations people will know different remedies for accident/emergency situations as well as acute physical complaints, Common cold remedies, flu remedies etc.. If there is enough interest it mey be possible to keep the cost down through applying for funding. Sea Rovers Draw
The Sea Rovers Jackpot was not won this week. Denis Doherty,(R), Ard Ronan, Middletown, Malin Head won the bonus prize.

Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary meet every Monday evening at 8.15p.m. in the Old National School in Malin. New and auxiliary members welcome.
Mission of Mercy Silver Circle winners
Michael and Oliver Houten, Trenatubber and 1,300 others are going out to South Africa to build houses in a shanty town, as part of the Niall Mellon Township Challenge.
